Why a PDA member?

Painters and decorators often come into people’s homes and businesses – so customers want to know that person or company is to be trusted.

Before being accepted for membership of the Association, companies and individuals are rigorously vetted and prospective members have to fulfil a number of requirements, including the production of evidence of more than five year’s experience in the industry.

They are also obliged to carry adequate public liability insurance and references. Once accepted, members are then subjected to random checks to ensure high standards are maintained.

The PDA also investigates all complaints made against any members and endeavours to resolve any disputes through mediation.
